SevenSixTwo
So whenever I save my files that I create in the nifskope they save with a little lock symbol on them and don't allow me to use them in the geck. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
davidlallen
Usually Windows prevents you from saving files inside "Program Files". Please search "user access controls" or UAC to understand how to change this.
SevenSixTwo
Awesome thank you, but now I do have another question every time that I try to load them into GECK I get "Marker_error:0" is there a step that I am missing?
davidlallen
I have only edited a few nif files, and I have never faced this problem. Searching "marker_error" in the FNV forums finds the same question, but no answer. Perhaps you could try searching the fallout3nexus mod talk, troubleshooting forums. If you find a solution pleae update here.

Quetzlsacatanango
Something's wrong with your nif. Either it's in the wrong location, or possibly you exported incorrectly. Hard to say beyond that with the info you have provided.
