ninja_lord666
...that was my gf who posted under my user name...The above poster should not tell his girl friend his password, or he should not leave his computer unattended ...I don't want anyone to think that I'm "weird".The above poster needs to realise that that ship has sailed. We couldn't possibly think he could be any weirder.
Marxist ßastard
The above poster really needs to learn C; seriously.
ninja_lord666
The above poster is really staring to annoy me :glare: Edit: The above poster also has an error in his post: "The above poster really needs to learn C, seriously." A semicolon is used instead of comma cord. conj. to combine two sentences to from a compound sentence, and "seriously" is a sentence fragment. Thus, a comma is used. Marxist ßastard
The above poster should note that "seriously" serves as an interjection in that sentence. Punctuation is part of the context surrounding a word and thus serves to dictate that word's usage --- in all other cases, it's completely useless. Thus, if you aren't using my punctuation to aid your understanding of what I type, what are you using it for?
ninja_lord666
The above poster should read this: You will usually use the semicolon to link independent clauses not joined by a co-ordinating conjunction. Semicolons should join only those independent clauses that are closely related in meaning. There is one exception to this guideline. When punctuating a list or series of elements in which one or more of the elements contains an internal comma, you should use semicolons instead of commas to separate the elements from one another. I was correcting his usage of the semicolon, and, since he did use a semicolon, "seriously" becomes a sentence fragment regardless of what it would have been were the sentence punctuated correctly. Marxist ßastard
As the above poster can see from the top banner, that site is about Hypergrammar. I'm just using regular grammar.
ninja_lord666
The above poster should realise that Hypergrammar is the name of the website and teaches regular grammar.
ResidentWeevil2077
The above poster should not tell his girl friend his password, or he should not leave his computer unattendedI don't know how in the blazes she found out (BAD GIRL - I'LL GET YOU YET), but I think it was my own lack of a brain and complete utter laziness to blame  . See, the same p-word I use for pretty much every interweb account I have (not that many, but I have the most terrible memory  ... what was I talking about again  ... Oh, right  ) is the same one I use for my Gaming Source account. Of course, I keep myself constantly logged in to the server  , and so, my "significant other" (I'm still mad at you BTW... ;) ) thought it might be fun to post a few "questionable" posts as me. ...I don't want anyone to think that I'm "weird".The above poster needs to realise that that ship has sailed. We couldn't possibly think he could be any weirder.Well, I can't argue with that...
Marxist ßastard
The above poster --- the one which is still in the game anyways; no tr@#%!£$ allowed --- is mistaken. Welcome to HyperGrammar electronic grammar course at the University of Ottawa's Writing Centre. The conspicuous omission of "the" probably makes sense in Hypergrammer. This is not so in the grammar that I use.
ninja_lord666
The above poster should realise that "electronic" refers to the fact that the website is on the internet and not a book. The above poster should also realise when he's wrong and give in. Edit:This package is designed to allow users a great deal of freedom and creativity as they read about grammar. If the above poster would have read, he would have found this sentence where it clearly states grammer and not electronic grammar.
