You know, i really liked the quests involved the Medicine skill, like healing Mr.Sniffles crippled leg, giving morphine to Boxcars, healing NCR troopers at Forlorn Hope, etc... I wished, there would be more quests like that, gathering ingredients, using them as aidz. But is there a technical possibility to heal wounded NPCs like in Fallout 1 and 2, for example, via dialogue options, such as "I'm a doctor, let me help you" or administer stimpaks or other drugs directly on the NPC, for karma or XP? I thought, it would be pretty cool, if they would also say a default female/male "okay" or "thank you". I often saw the guys i've taken from the cross or wounded caravaneers limping away, being not able to help them. Would you like to make such a mod? simplywayne90 Posted April 1, 2011 Share Posted April 1, 2011 Heres a modders resource to start with, I'd back up the idea as well I figure it'd just need a script to keep NPCs from going hostile since its used like a weapon, and a script to heal them based on your characters medicine skill. TrinXaS Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Personally I think that it would be better if we can heal NPCs through Dialogue option, the healing option can vary depending on our medic skill & current equipments. Also I think it will be better to heal uninjured NPCs causing having 100% HP don't mean that they're completly healthy, so we'll have to introduce some sickness to the Mojave that random NPCs would catch, (there's already addiction and radpoisoning) for example in Camp Forlorn Hope, some Troopers will tell us that they've been bitten by those dirty legion's dogs and they fear to catch rabies... so it will be good to heal them! .... as for voice acting i'm sure we could find a lot of lines within the vanilla game that deals with healing/sickness! Second thing, why instead of converting the Stimpacks into weapon we don't convert other chems? there is a cool mod in FO3 that permit us to fill empty syringes with chem's overdose via a menu that poops when we pick the syringe .... after hitting an NPC with the overdose syringe an empty syringe will spawn on the ground, and after using a stimpack an empty hypo will be add to our inventory. This will permit us to explore another gameplay type, and fully exploit the med skill ;) ...... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
