Welcome, freakeinstein;

 

Try here: DANexus, for a wide variety of mods: weapons, armour, appearance, campaign, plot... You name it, there's a mod for it! :laugh:

 

Find some ones you like and examine them in detail to see what's needed.

 

Also see here: DANexus Forums. There are four different sub-forums (including "Requests) about modding. They're at the bottom of the page. Lots of helpful tips and techniques discussed in there. :thumbsup:

I'd recommend keeping them in the middle-range for polycount and tex resolution. ESPECIALLY if you're planning to release them to the public. This game has a horrible memory leak, and the higher rez and poly is gonna make it that much harder on systems that struggle with the game after the leak starts draining them. ;)
