I made a Silenced 10mm Pistol work exactly how the flamer does (well tried to anyway) by using most of the flamers settings. But when i try to use it in-game, my character just stands there holding it :S even in V.A.T.S.

Yeah, when I first tried to use it, I thought it was one of the animations. But I'm pretty sure it isn't because I've tried everything I can think of, even changing the animation back to "right attack" (what the silenced 10mm pistol was on originally). I'm thinking it's got something to do with a mesh but it shouldn't because I didn't change any meshes. It might be as simple as extracting all the BSA's completely so the geck can use them.

Doh, change your ammunition from Alcoholic Drinks to something like Ammo10mm or AmmoFlamerFuel.

Didn't work.

On my old computer I tried to make a sword where when you attacked it shot balls of plasma, and the same thing happened. :(

I dont understand where i'm going wrong, I've watched plenty of tutorials.

Okay, i got it to work in 3 steps

1. Extract meshes from meshes.BSA

2. Copy and rename weapflamer to weapuniqueflamerpistol and change the meshes to the Silenced 10mm Pistol instead of just editing the pistol to make it shoot out flames

3. Change just about everything in the Art and sound tab to whats in the pic above AND KEEP the reload animation as ReloadB and the animation type as TwoHandHandle

Just changing the animation type to TwoHandHandle didn't work, i had to start with the flamer and edit it as well. It seems that bethesda didn't make the flame animation compatible with 1 handed weapons.

In that case, it would probably be impossible to make a sword shoot plasma balls.
