What do you guys think of my load order. I dont have any problems, I just want to know if there are any conflicts that I might need to deal with to increase game stability.

Well, as long as nothing is messing up, you shouldn't have to worry about anything. OBMM has identified multiple "major conflicts" between mods for me, but the mods work perfectly in-game. You should be fine. Just make sure to read the compatibility section when you go to download a mod. You can also look into BOSS if you don't already have it. It sorts your mods when you activate it, although some hardly known mods aren't recognized. Hope this helped. :smile:

Thanks for the info. I'm planning on upgrading Unique Landscapes and Better Cities. I was wondering which is better to use BAIN or OBMM? (which is the best to ensure mod compatibility.

Well, like I said, BOSS is usually the best at sorting mods into a load order that works, but for mods that aren't recognized, I would personally go with OBMM. You should check both, see what you think. Anyways, I don't think you will need OBMM or BAIN if you use BOSS to fix your load order for you. Better Cities is one of the three biggest things BOSS looks for, along with OOO and FCOM. Unique Landscapes is also a pretty big mod, BOSS should order it correctly.

The load order is correct. For some reason, the crash prevention system tells me it prevents a crash (the windows sound that plays) , then the game crashes shortly after and my save games all say they are corrupt even though I can still load them if i restart the game. This only happens in Bravil, Leyawin, Anvil and in the countryside. The other cities including Better Cities and Frostcrag Spire are fine. I think it has something to do with UL. (Priory of the Nine doesn't cause any crashes either but Weye does.

 

I have this great BOSS application thing. It automatically updates BOSS for me and i think it does a few other things I cant recall. I cant remember what its called but its from tesnexus you can search for it.. highly recommended. If anyone remembers the name, please post it.

The crash has something to do with OBGE or streamline 3.1. BTW, what happens if I merge 2 or more esps together, considering that the esp to be merged are made up of multiple merged esps themselves.

 

sort of like A+B=C & X+Y=Z; what happens if I do this C+Z? will it cause heavy problems.) I just love pushing my oblivion to the limits.

The crash prevention system is by no means perfect at its job. I have heard of multiple people who say it doesn't work for them. I don't think you can really do anything about that. As for the crashes, are you sure there are no conflictions? Have you rebuilt the bashed patch correctly? Have you downloaded everything correctly? Make sure you check those things first.

I'm aware of the imperfections of the crash prevention system, however I am certain that none of my mods are conflicting. The crashes only occur outside cities but NOT in locations like forts, inns e.t.c. (exterior cells) and the only cities that don't crash are IC and cheydinhal. Frostcrag Spire fine as well. Shortly before the CTD, the crash prevention system chimes and then if I try to load or save I am told my save games are corrupt. If I exit to the main menu, the loading screens are all purple. The only means of travel is by fast travel which prevents me from exploring new locations. It is because the game crashes only if I move around outside cities. If I don't move around, the game will play none stop with no crashes. (which isn't playing at all). Edited by shopsD

Ok, first of all, All Natural is NOT compatible with Natural Weather. They both have weather systems that will conflict with each other. Natural Habitat, Water, and Vegetation do work with All Natural, though. Deadly Reflex 6 has been known to cause a lot of crashes for people. Salmo the Baker can cause CTDs.

Thanks for the info. I thought they were part of the same mod. If I have to give up DR6 I'm gonna cry. I guess it would be for the best if the game runs. Gonna deactivate Salmo the Baker first though
