4GB patch question

CASM is a great tool. I use it all the time. JDSX, just some food for thought on upgrading your laptop. Before you upgrade it, check the manufacturer's website to see how far you can push your graphics memory with more memory. You might be able to, with 8 gig of memory, come to about 1 gig for video, leaving 7 gig for everything else. However, you want to check things first before buying more. Even though DDR3, even for laptops, isn't expensive, it is well worth the time to do a little reading before you do much else. As Bben said, when you open your inventory, or a container, or even buying from a vendor, and that takes time, you might want to save. A quick save is good. There is two things I can recommend. One is to sell off some unnecessary stuff that you don't need, to reduce your load all around. The other is to use your repair, or a work bench, or even ammo bench, and reduce your inventory space that way. This will help with making things you can sell, as well as use yourself. Repairing stuff is a good thing when you have several items, and want to reduce your weight load, and you can sell the fully repaired stuff for a bit more than just selling it outright. Also, spreading out your buying and selling can help, a little, as well. You can sell to Doc Mitchell, Chet, and Trudy, and not have to worry about loading any single one of them with everything you have. And every so often, you might want to open the console in your game, and type pcb. This may help, a little, may not, but it can't hurt. The command is Purge Cell Buffer.
