Rogueonyx
I need help with my game. Awhile back my pc crashed and I had to have it reset to factory defaults. I had FO3 and a lot of mods on it that I lost but I wasn't to concerned because this was around the time New Vegas was out. But now I want to play Fallout 3. So I installed it and installed FOMM and FOSE. I havent installed anything else yet. When I try to start it with FOSE, it says "The ordinal 5360 could not be located in the dynamic link library xlive.dll." When I try to start it using the default launcher with FOSE, it says "Fallout 3 does not appear to be installed and the installer could not be found. Try exploring your DVD-ROM drive and selecting Setup.exe to install the game." Anyone know whats going on? I would very much like to play FO3 but I'm having a hard time doing it. I'm using Vista if that helps.

I'm using Vista if that helps.Go find Uniblue registry cleaner on the net, install it, clean your registry file, uninstall all those items, and rerun the reg cleaner . Now start fresh with fallout 3. Down load archive invalidate, An earlier version of fomm, not the latest one though you will need both at one time. Install fose, install fo3edit, Caution "when fallout 3 is finished installing, DO NOT run the game" launch Fomm and install the tweaker dll for fake xlive.dll. reboot the pc, Now you can launch fallout and configure it. This should help. IF not, Pm me.
luthienanarion
Fallout requires GFWL, so you have to download that before you install the game. That will take care of your xlive.dll problem. When you say you reset your computer to factory defaults, did you re-install Fallout 3?

When you say you reset your computer to factory defaults, did you re-install Fallout 3? Ok I am gonna take a guess here, you have been doing some reading I presume? So If I said to reset you PC to factory defaults, it meant just that. In order to determine from your end, you -your self must have it in mind that everything is standardized, so "When you Install fallou3" you can adjust your gaming files with default settings before any tweaking takes place. Now Fallout 3 needs to be installed to an outside folder after you system is prepped properly and to your liking. You take control of what gets to play with your stuff, Not the NET. If you can not Obtain the client software for games for windows live, you must E-mail me and I can send the setup starter or you register with Microsoft developers IT Division and download the file on your own. Either case, the version thats on the CD that came with the game is the wrong one for windows 7 Period. I hope this clears your mind.

I gave a simple instruction to fix one of Rogueonyx's issues, and asked them a question for clarification on a second issue. No one pulled your chain or replied to your post.
