Armor upgrades for every armor

Many armors (including craftable) doesn't have upgrade slots. Nevertheless, when we craft armor upgrades, it shows it even on top of the armors that doesn't have upgrades slots. Sometimes it look ugly, but sometimes it look interesting.

So, is there a mod, or at least an instruction to either:

1)Add upgrade slots to armor that doesn't have upgrade slots

2)Switch appearance, give armor that does have armor upgrade slots appearance of armor that doesn't have upgrade slots.

As an example (sorry for russian localisation :P )

Normally that armor doesn't have upgrade slots at all. Yet when i am crafting upgrades, it shows it as how would it like with that armor.

So adding upgrades slots to that armor, or making some other armor armor that does have upgrade slots to look like that would be very nice.

I would love to see this as well, just for the visuals if stats themselves cannot be included (especially for the new Trespasser armor).

I agree, this is a great idea and we could use it on things weapons like Sulevin Blade and DLC weapons and armour, which seems to have given up entirely on upgrade slots  ... and that the slots on them are all different, which makes stacking stats difficult - I guess that's the point, but it's not as FUN!

It would appear that it's impossible to add new slots to things, but I'm not sure whether it's possible to tweak existing items to have bigger numbers in the slots or to change the material or type of slots to make up for lack of upgrades. I'm often disappointed that armour and weapons have 3 different slots so I can't minmax them.

In addition, I'd be especially impressed to see upgrades themselves improved so that they are of the same material/slot type, so that it's more feasible to stack numbers. [Edit] I actually made a mod for this myself, holy s***! : https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1955/?

I've tried this but I'm getting game crashes. I'll keep looking at it, but I'm at a loss right now.

Greetings! I have actually researched and tried to achieve this. However, it is not possible to ADD upgrade slots to these armors (at least with my current understanding of DAI modding tools).

I have created a mod which aims to balance schematics, and it includes these one-piece armors and weapons. To summarize, the mod will BUFF all armors and weapons which do not have upgrade slots, so they are as strong as the rest of the armors.

You can find my mod here: https://www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/1991?tab=description

Enjoy!

What is your measuring stick for upgrading a T1 one-piece to T4ish standard? I tried to make my Better DLC recipes between 30 and 36ish slots in total, which I think is slightly weaker than the usual T3.

Having said this, all One-piece armours are all considerably weaker than what you can make with upgradable ones.
