Nirvanas Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 I was trying to do Sten's quest, "The Sword of the Beresaad" today when I realized: I had found the sword earlier in the game when I first went to Redcliffe, since I went there first. The problem here is that I don't know where the sword disappeared to. I am sure I didn't sell it and I searched all of my chests and vendors, but to no avail; y Asara was missing. So now, I'm stuck with Sten, lonely and saddened that he does not have his sword with him anymore, but I can't get Asara anymore. That being said, here's the request: Request: I would like to have a chest containing "Asara" spawned somewhere convenient, like say... simply in the camp. Pretty please? DarkeWolf Posted April 4, 2011 Share Posted April 4, 2011 Heyas Nirvanas :) First off, make sure that when you are looking for it, you are not looking for it as a WEAPON. Until you actually give it to him, it will be in your inventory as a GIFT ;) If after that, you still don't have it, I whipped up a console command script that you can use to add it to your inventory manually. Download the script from here- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X1YQP7NHscan it with your antivirus software ( I wouldnt give you anything bad, but always be sure. Never blindly trust what is on the internet ;) ) And then extract the contents of the .zip folder to your documents/bioware/dragon age/packages/core/override folder. Then start up the game, and activate the console. If you don't have the console active, heres how you do that- http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Console Once the console is open type in runscript sten_sword and then tap your {enter} key. That will add the sten sword Gift item to your inventory, so that you can give it to him. I included a readme file, as well. In case you need to use it again and don't want to hunt around on here for the phrase you need to enter into the console. ;) Also, since we're on the subject of his sword, there is an improved version of Asala that I made for somebody quite a while back. http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/215714-request-improved-asala/page__st__10__p__1898365#entry1898365 it's attached to the thread in post # 11. I looked for over an hour for Sten's sword, but I realized it was a bug of some sort, because i tried multiple ways to get the sword form the chest in Dwyn's house, but that was buggy at best. I downloaded both the script and the improvement for Asara, and they're working fantastically. Go thru all the discussion with Dwyn, who's not very cooperative, and then open up the chest to find it EMPTY!Granted, I havent played the game in quite a while, but after putting that script in there to test it out, I think that I may end up just leaving it in my override folder just in case it happens again :D I do have to say Thanks as well. It's always great when the first thing I do in the day is open up my email and see that something I did made somebody happy :) I'm glad to help out whenever I can, and this was something that was pretty easy to do ;) I'm glad to hear that it worked out for you, and took care of the problem that you were having :) Appreciation for the kudos!
