Hi guys, my last mod didn't receive much support so i stopped making it, but now I have got a new idea. That Idea is...

SO anyway the plan is to create a few underground bars, and maybe a some sort of club or casino in one of them. Each Chapter will have there own lead who will be the bartender or sitting in a back room. This mod will come with a range of quests, the first one has been planned; it will be a mission where the player must find a supply of these special drinks that were brought in one day, and the supplier never came back again.

Now i'm ok with quests(mostly), level design, and basic scripting. But i really need someone who can model a bar themed tile-set and texture it, i know it may be a big ask but i really need this. I need the basics like middle pieces, corner in and out, doors, wall(preferably a few different types), stairs and maybe even objects like a bench, and bar stools. If anyone can help me with this can you post here or PM me. Also anyone else who wants to help are free to help me, just PM me or post here detailing your skills, or anything else you think you can help out with. What i also need is another level designer, and quest maker/scripter and then later down the track i need voice actors.

So if anyone is interested just post here or PM me, also any ideas or suggestions just post here.

Would appreciate any help.

I think you can achieve your objectives with less work. Try to use vanilla assets to start. Requiring a new models is one of the easiest ways to kill a mod. There are plenty of New Vegas Models that could be used to produce a great bar. You just need to get a little creative. Alternatively, simply reskinning existing models is a lot easier, and can give pretty good results.

The idea sounds pretty cool. Are you planning to build the bar(s) in the underground areas below New Vegas?

The bars will be underground, the only location that i have started so far is in freeside, under an abandon shop. Now i will try use vanilla tilesets but its hard to find one that will suit the purpose, i'm using the basement theme at the momement. Now going back to the custom models i thought into that at the bare minimum it would be good to have a model of some sort of insignia that i can put on doors, to symbolize the location of a downunder bar. Im currently working on an insignia design in photoshop and Illustator, i took a shot at just textureing a logo on a door but it got complicated and i got stuck.(basicly it fliped the texture because it was a double door, and i stopped)

Thanks for the reply.

I am pretty sure you can import ai files from illustrator into blender, then extrude them to make insignia/logos. It might be something to tackle, and could add a nice touch to your mod. You could also create neon signs for the bar. SpeedyB64 has some nice premade neon signs in his big New Vegas resource. He also has lots of tilesets that maybe could be adapted to be an underground bar. They are mostly meant to be underground in any case.

sound similar to the mod im making right now, except im making a big project alone, so i wont finish it for another couple months at best. my idea was instead of a underground bar, was to make an underground city. with new quests/vendors/chems/items/recipes. its really hard though as its my first mod and im taking up a big challenge, but anywho - if you need help with making new textures, scripts or levels, pm me, i could probably help you out since im working on a similar mod. i could possibly do some voice acting, although my mic kinda sux Edited by stealthtank91
