Deleted5094879User Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Okay I reinstalled and clicked off mountains. I"ll see how I like it.I wasn't using NLA.No ENB right now, but I am having a graphical problem. With or without mods installed when I turn my camera in skyrim everything from mountains to face textures get this shadowy outline and effect on them and it flickers on and off.UPDATE:So it doesn't seem to be Skyrim doing this. I took a screenshot of when it happened and when it wasn't when I went to look at the screenshots it would happen to both of them as I swapped photo's and then stop. Is this a monitor or Win10 thing then perhaps?I don't really notice it in any other games but it clearly isn't just skyrim. Edited September 14, 2015 by Guest
BlackRoseOfThorns Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) Try different driver and perform clean installation. I'm still using 353.38 for my 980ti, which was first test sample with driver crash fix. There is v353.62 download link on nvidia site. It's the most stable version atm, the only drawback is that optimization for Mad Max and MGS V came out 2 weeks ago with 355.82 :rolleyes:http://www.nvidia.com/download/find.aspx PS: Did you set sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti" in skyrimprefs.ini? Mod Organizer has it's own copy of .ini files. You can edit it by clicking Tools > INI Editor in MO menu. Edited September 14, 2015 by BlackRoseOfThorns
Deleted5094879User Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 (edited) I believe both sets are correct on which card it is. I am unsure if it is my 980 ti because my r9 290x before it I think also ahd this problem. I'll try the other driver though.EDIT: Used the other drivers still a problem so I don't think it is the gpu. an I checked ASUS driver page no actual drivers were listed for the monitor. BlackRoseOfThorns Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 EDIT: Used the other drivers still a problem so I don't think it is the gpu. an I checked ASUS driver page no actual drivers were listed for the monitor. You can test it with your tv, if it has hdmi input and a cable (your old cable can be damaged, btw). Display lag might be terrible (30-50ms), but it's for comparison anyway. What's your monitor grey to grey (manufacturers don't list "black to black" >_> ) response time?
Deleted5094879User Posted September 16, 2015 Author Posted September 16, 2015 So I did some testing and went to my campus IT department and we found out it was some setting in my monitor that reseting the monitor fixed. hooray! I'll be posing a mod list and maybe we can tweak it a bit.I've a few errors that I've had constantly regardless of mods that I'll list then.

BlackRoseOfThorns Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Cap your fps to 58-60. Skyrim engine tends to bug out with high pfs count and cause problems like water flickering and collision issues (got killed by flying clutter when I forgot to do it after reinstalling drivers). You can do it with nvidiainspector driver profile for elder scrolls 5 or other program. I don't use CoT or Waves atm, but I am a bit suspicious of your patches overwriting each other. If you still have problems after capping fps, eneter interior and save there. Backup Mod Organizer load order and mod list. Disable CoT and Waves .esps with patches, make new bashed patch. Wait ingame seven days and exit interior.
Deleted5094879User Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Which patches would those be?
Deleted5094879User Posted September 17, 2015 Author Posted September 17, 2015 Okay so I couldnt find the FPS Limiter in Nvidia driver control. But I put Vsync on and for now it seems like it works.I've noticed a few problems like trees not being a solid object, the one by riverwood where Hod and Ralof are if you follow him to the end.And for the Bridges the one near whiterun that crosses the river with the water fall. There are two bridges there. Vanilla and the modded one. Also from that bridge looking to the mountain range past Whiterun I don't get 60FPS, but I don't have my card OC atm.
BlackRoseOfThorns Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Okay so I couldnt find the FPS Limiter in Nvidia driver control. But I put Vsync on and for now it seems like it works. Common > Frame Rate Limiter Also from that bridge looking to the mountain range past Whiterun I don't get 60FPS, but I don't have my card OC atm. Extensively moded skyrim in high res with enb and vsync on will drop your frame rate occasionally in some places. There are setups where titan x sli can't run above 45fps. I would not worry unless your fps plummets badly and there's stutter. I've noticed a few problems like trees not being a solid object, the one by riverwood where Hod and Ralof are if you follow him to the end. From Vividian Enb site:3. Skyrimprefs.ini Please make sure you have all nessesary Skyrim Prefs set correctly in your skyrimprefs.ini[Display]bFloatPointRenderTarget=1bTreesReceiveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1bShadowsOnGrass=1bDeferredShadows=1fGamma=1.0000iMultiSample=0 // turns off the game's multi-sampling AAbTransparencyMultisampling=0 // turns off transparency AA[imagespace]bDoDepthOfField=1iRadialBlurLevel=1Also disable Antialiasing and Anisoptric Filtering in your Skyrim prefs that are accessible via the launcher. bFloatPointRenderTarget - When this is not set right some objects let sunlight through it. You should be getting enb text message on screen, if there's an issue. Make sure you didn't add this line twice by mistake. Edited September 18, 2015 by BlackRoseOfThorns
