morganae
I am a repair junkie and repair just about everything I can. It's a great way to make some money. The issue is this: I have over 40,000 caps. (I find and reload a lot of ammo etc so I don't spend much)It seems that if I make a major purchase, around 25,000 caps etc (buying ammo from Gunrunners or a new weapon etc) I can no longer make any money. I have 16000 or so caps left. If I sell to any vendors after spending that large number of caps, I can sell the item, it will show the amount I will be credited, but after accepting the trade, I don't get the caps! I have tried the following: 1) I gave my caps to Veronica to hold so I had 0 caps and tried again with the same issue.2) I left gun runners, zoned out of the area and back in and had the same issue.3) I have tried this with various vendors, Gun Runners, the terminal in your suite at the Lucky 38, the Van Graffs, the weapon vendor in Hidden Valley and all have the same issue. I am not a writer of mods and so I don't know how to code etc. Anyone have any ideas? I have not used any cheats and this is in Normal mode. GrindedStone
Containers have issues when the amount goes over certian amounts, so do the leveled spawn lists.I think it's around 20,000 or so, I think 40,000 is listed as 2394 or some random number.Don't buy so much at once I guess... KennethKarl
This comment won't be any help to you, but a year or so ago before I had my computer I used to play Fallout 3 on the PS3. I had played about 125 hours on one charactar. I had amassed a trove of 65000 caps. One day I decided to move them to the safe in Doctor Bruan's office in Vault 112 (It was like my secret lair. :D) When I did I changed my mind and removed them from the safe. As I did that the number changed from 65000 to 72380. Puzzled I tried it again. By the time I decided to stop messing with this glitch I had over 500000 caps. I could have bought out the Talon Company and the Brotherhood of Steel (If that were at all possible :(.) This of course ruined the novelty of amassing a treasure trove of caps so I just didn't save. That was a positive glitch. Don't think that helps you in the slightest but it is an interesting cap story. :D.
