Anybody think obsidian should have made a oblivon companion game inste

i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED oblivion best game in the world and is has shown to be pretty future proof as a lot of people still play it. oblivion is probably the most played game thats over 5 years old (if not at least it is for RPG's). fallout 3 was great and it was a good distraction but it was so much of a smaller game in comparison to oblivion and i think it took me 5 days to get bored with it and i came back a year later and played it a week, with oblivion i played it every day until gears of war came out (like over 6 months) and after i got bored with gears i played oblivion off and on for years ( i dont play much now though).

 

with fallout new vegas i couldnt even finish it :wallbash: . it has many nice things over FO3 but it felt like i had played and beat it already before within the first 30 min of the game. i honestly couldnt finish the game its just not as interesting and with NV even vegas wasnt really that cool gambling was pointless because i dont know how to play most the games and the one i did know how to play makes you so little money id rather go play a real gambling game instead.

 

so am i the only person thinks obsidian could have done a better job if they made a oblivion companion game instead? i mean theres sooo many countries that havnt been done yet in elderscrolls and id love to see the rest of tamriel ( thats like the name for the whole planet of elder scrols i believe). fallout 3 and NV were good games by them selfs and im sure if fallout 3 hadnt came out already new vegas probally would have been better then FO3 was because it would have felt so fresh and had a lot more good features.

 

i understand that obsidian has people who worked on old fallouts which is a fair reason to work on NV instead of say Elder Scrolls 4.5 but man itll be more then 5 years and like 8 months inbetween elderscrolls games and thats just way too long to make sequals.... call of duty games are so popular and they pump one out every year. actually cod black ops came out 1 day less then a year and look at all that profit. bethesda and obsidian should go side by side putting out a game every 2 years so that every holiday season we could have a new elder scrolls or fallout game?

I feel a bit like you, i wasnt able to finish the game either becouse it was too much of a FO3 deja vu for me. I wasnt interested in gambling either, instead they could have spent their time on some other things.

 

Im not sure about the companion game, it would been nice but i have a feeling they would buged a lot of things, just like in NV,

 

I think the fallout series as they are now would need some new fresh developing team with good ideas that can hold to the system they made, but focusing on things that matter and add interesting features so the gameplay is worth to play and you dont feel like going trough and old sack of grass.
