Riven1978
Ok I was going through my old mod ideas, and found one that i think would be hella sweet :) Prewar Fallout was an offbeat Tomorrow-World of how people thought in the 50's right? well i remember seeing some "Wolrd of Tomorrow" specials a long time ago and they still wore the same 50's style clothing, much like the suits and outfits that are still in Fallout, but whats missing are the casual everyday items such as Bowler shirts, Poodle skirts, Plaid shirts, etc. (some example links below) Anyone else think they would be a perfect fit for the Fallout world? (FO3 and FNV) anyway anyone that could make even a few of these would have my undieing gratitude. Since i am requesting them, I will also offer my services as to anything i can actually do, i.e. convert them, put them in game, fuddle with textures (I only have very basic UV knowledge and experience); you can see any of my mods I have released to see examples of what i am capable of doing. My one true drawback is that i can't create much from scratch, most of what i do come from either examples of stuff that i tremendously alter, or simply convert to a Fallout usable format. So even if someone can just make the Blender files (or any format that blender can use) I can get them working in game, however they will be yours to release and such. 50's Fashion for Women50's Fashion for Men 50's Style Bowling Shirts 50's Style Casual Dresses 50's style Poodle Skirts the main ones i really want would be the Plaid button up shirts and the Poodle Skirts, and as i said if you make the model and textures i will do the tedious part for you if needs be  Thanks for giving this a read and even more thanks if you decide to tackle it
bben46
I think I have seen mods with both bowling shirts and poodle skirts - possibly not in the same mod. If I remember it was a FO3 mod. When I get a chance I will look for them. I am actually old enough to remember poodle skirts in high school and what we called 'tablecloth' plaid shirts (larger squares about 1 1/2 inches) I had several of them. Other fads from 50s & early 60spenny loafers - both M & FFull skirts with petticoats FDuck tail hair do - M, usually greased to hold it in place - this is where the term 'greaser' came from. :tongue:Big hair - F probably late 60s Hair piled up on top (Think Marge Simpson) :pinch:2 piece bating suit with a high waist to hide the belly button - FWhite tee shirt with a pack of cigarettes rolled in one sleeve - MCigarette carried behind one ear - Yes we really did that. And no, it wasn't lit. :rolleyes:white socks M & F Socks color to match shirt color. MChinos - M Similar to khakis but less 'dressy' and with no crease or pleats.pegged pants (early to mid 50s) Typically done with either chinos or jeansBlack motorcycle jacket with zippers on the sleeves & pockets (Fonzie)
Riven1978
I thought i had seen some somewhere (the poodle skirt) but when i went to search i couldn't find them so i was working on the assumption that they had been removed for one reason or another. I don't remember the bowling shirts though hehe those would be Ideal for the tops casino after Benny "disappears" and whats his name takes over for a more relaxed look  and was thinking more of a leather "greaser" jacket and jeans for the Kings instead of the jailhouse rocker although there are leather jackets galore so that wasn't requested hehe I am not old enough to remember them but i do remember the Soc-Hop nights we had at the community rec center and absolutely love the style back then... not the "retro-look" they have of them around these days
