Oh, don't worry about that, it won't happen like this. Democrats are gaining too much control. They'll have our nuclear capabilities completely exposed to a first strike attack because they told the world how many nuclear weapons we have active or completely dismantled along with our ICBM defenses long before we have a danger of actually making a decision to retaliate with equal devastation. What will most likely happen is our enemies will pretend to disarm, then one day, when we are so liberal we think that no one could possibly ever attack us, terrorists will eventually get a hold of a few nuclear weapons, probably from Iran when they finally get their nuclear operation up and running, attack our major cities, then an opportunistic enemy such as Iran or North Korea will take advantage of our disarray and invade us. Of course, since the UN is better at talking than actually doing, they'll set idly by and attempt to negotiate and find some liberal-imaginary-world diplomatic solution while we're being slaughtered because by then we won't even have handguns with which to defend ourselves. But at least Atheists will be happy because whoever our invaders are, they'll likely target Christians more than anyone else because Communists have a long history of killing Christians more than any other in the name of Atheism and violent Islamic nations that hate us like Iran and Saddam-ruled Iraq are pretty much hostile towards Christianity more than any other religion, except Judaism, as well.

 

So, you have nothing to worry about, it won't be a wasteland, we'll just become part of another nation is all, after a good number of us are killed, tortured, molested, and raped, not necessarily in that order, although I've heard some pretty cooky things about some of our enemies.

 

Our nuclear bombed cities will be like it was in Japan at the end of WWII when we bombed them to end the war. We'll probably be more like what's happening in Japan now.

Wauw, just wauw. First off, I'm not from the US, and while I think it's a great country, this really goes to show. It goes to show a lot of Americans are either living in the past or are oblivious to world politics.

Go read JS Mill's On Liberty, and some of Locke's essays. Find out the values the founding fathers endorsed so much they wrote them into the constitution. Also, I find your fear of communism of impeccable 1950s vintage. The scaremongering is of the refined flavour which one only finds when refined for several decades in a barrel made of xenophobia and contempt.

 

The world is not all white, middle class and christian. And neither is there a ruthless conspiracy to eliminate this demographic. Get a grip on reality and find a proper news source.

 

"opportunistic enemy such as Iran or North Korea" And how are either of these countries supposed to amass enough military capacity to even attempt an invasion of the US, the USA, a country of 350 million (last I checked) with the highest military spending in the world? The Star Spangled Banner against... North krea, and its thousands of obselete, rusted, un-fuelled and un-crewed vintage soviet tanks, its starving populace and almost complete absence of a navy to reach the US. Iran is no better. At their highest point they had a single squadron of F14s, several were lost in the Iraq-Iran war and the few remainders are used as AWACS craft as their radar systems are better than anything else the Iranians can get that will fit on a plane. Add to the internal turmoil and constant repression needed to keep their own people in line... None of them are in any fit shape to be anything other than loud, blustering, straw-men. and what else can such weak and failed states do when the big boy on the block has it in for them? They're repressive,autocratic, xenophobic regimes which fail utterly at just governance. But dictators look out for #1, and its a toss up between staying home and looking nasty, and trying to hide from the CIA in Brazil or a Pakistani mountainside. Know which one I'd chose...

 

Even if conventional warfare were still in vogue, the US has no contemporaries save China and they're too busy profiting off of the west to invade it, who will challenge the USA? Communism? Well guess that went down the drain when east germany paid the price for shoddy building work... When was that again? 1989? My dear boy you're 22 years late with that one.
