ReIVIeDy
http://www.davidjscott.com/misc/breeze1.jpg (Left Hand - Note the pinkie)http://www.davidjscott.com/misc/breeze2.jpg (Right hand - Note the grey areas) This effects all male NPC's, regardless of skin color. Both hands look the exact same on every npc. I've isolated the issue to Breeze's Male Bodies mod, since when I deactivate it, problem solved.http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35451 I've tried all sorts of archive invalidations on/off, reinstalling the mod multiple times, reinstalling things in different orders, but nothing seems to work. I have the armor fix and am using the FMOD version. I tried Robert's Male Bodies with excellent success; however, Robert's does not utilize nude males, so that's a no-go. Breeze's Male Bodies is my only option. I also tried using the male bodies from R18 Rude Body Pack V3 OSBR recommended and linked from "Animated Prostitution," but because it utilizes Breeze's Male bodies, this is not a solution either.http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34903 Other than the hands, the mod works and looks flawless. It's just the damn hands giving me issues. GrindedStone
It looks like one hand is using the vanilla textures on the breeze mesh, or you are using a hand mesh which has had the UV changed on it. Also the pinky looked like the breeze textures being used on the vanilla mesh. All too wierd an hard to understand. The stuff is in characters/male it's meant to be a replacer. So the problem is in what is installed in those loose folders. Also it could be one of your mods has changed some of the data in the race. Maybe they spelled the hand icon texure with lower case when it need to be upper an same for the mesh. So load the whole order with FNV edit, open the falloutnv.esm an race, then the race for that dead npc or another npc with wack hands, look to see which mods if any are changing the model an icon texture for that body part in the male data. Actually I don't use Animated prostitution just because the breeze body which the animations are based on is totally wack. The UV is basicly using a non-scaling 1024 x 1024 section of a 2048 x 2048 map, or another way to put it is that it's only going to ever use 25% of the texture being loaded into video card memory in order to be rendered on the actual body. So the grapics card is loading in 6,000,000 bytes in order to use 600,000 bytes of data. It's an easy fix but I'm just too lazy to do it. So I just don't use AP or the breeze body. The new nifscope allows you to scale up or down the UV, thus making this type of fix very easy. All you would do is cut that 1024 map out of the 2048, then scale up the UV in nifscope a 1024 which is being used 100% for a total impact of 600,000 bytes. Really what you would want to do though is to set up animated protitution to use a hidden body. Thereby not effecting the vanilla armors or even the dead naked npc's which is possible. In this way when the guys get naked thru AP's dialog for sex, they switch to the breeze upperbody. Which means you don't even need the breeze armor fixes, though it might take a few tries an lots of reading to figure out how to configure AP to do that. You know I say that I don't use Animated prostitution, but if I was in a point in the game an felt like the character would wana have sex then I might install it then an then do all that little work to get it somewhat better working. You gota pick your battles though, how imporatant is having animated prostitution in the game for you? ReIVIeDy
I tried deleting all the male files in these folders: Meshes/Armor/characters/_male (deleted upperbody-erect and upperbody)Meshes/Characters/_male (deleted upperbody-erect and upperbody)Textures/characters/male (deleted the whole folder containing upperbodymale, upperbodymale_n, upperbodymale_sk) That did fix the issue, but also seemingly uninstalling Breeze's mod. I also uninstalled Breeze's mod and rolled back to his older version, but no dice. --------Edit: SUCCESS! I figured it out! I used FNVEdit as you recommended and found that Bouncing Natural Breasts added two files pertaining to males for some reason into the meshes/characters/_male folder (lefthand.nif and righthand.nif). Removing these two files fixed the issue. Because they were files, this would explain why unchecking all my mods didn't do anything, since unchecking the mods doesn't change the fact the files are still in the folder. Now I'm left scratching my head why Better Bouncing Breasts would screw with male hands... Edited April 8, 2011 by ReIVIeDy
GrindedStone
You can also open these meshes an make the material properties for the Head, Body, Hands, an armor all match. For example the gloss setting as these can introduce even more poorly rendered neck an wrist seams. At least for the player character you could then create a "player race" which uses 00 00 00 00 00 00 ect (Zero'ed out) Face Gen Semetrical Texture data, thus removing the often pesky an unmatched application of Facegen data on the skin of the player. Then all you need is a copy of all the meshes placed somewhere else, as well as the textures. Then not only do you have matching neck an wrist seams, but you can also further customize the character by using the actual textures to control how the character looks, which opens up a lot of doors.
