FallenHeroX
I looked everywere and could not find a decent and easy way to import equipment mods from elder scrolls oblivion into dragon age so i am setting up a petition thread for a simplistic import program to be made. Here is how it would function. 1. you go into the file tab and select open you find a file for a oblivion mod for lets say a weapon or a armor set that has textures and meshes. 2. next it will ask are you sure you would like to import this mod into dragon age? obviously youll choose yes 3. it will take a few minutes or hours depending upon the size of the mod to set it up when its done it will allow you to alter its propertys and atteributes. 4. next it will ask you where would you like this mod to spawn and show you a list of all the possible spawn locations including shop owners and the pc inventory. 5. then it will give you 2 options and you decide if it is or isnt compatible with other official dlc. 6. and finally after deciding weather its compatible with dlc or not it will alter the file types so dragon age can support it and convert the mod into a DAZIP file which can be installed by a mod manager. and there you have it thats how it should work as log as it is a mod that adds equipment to the game it will work 'meaning mods that retexture ot replace equipment will not work' of course youll need the original authors permission to publish the mod onto this site but thats besides the point. Gamingsage5
I think with the two games being from two different developers no one wants to make a program like that unless they want a lawsuit on their hands I believe.

Gamingsage5
Well that's the thing there's still copyright infringement because your taking items from one game and putting it into another, I think they had that kind of problem with people doing that with Fallout 3 and New vegas. I can understand if you just want to model what you want to bring over, but you understand what I mean.
Thandal
Direct rips of material from one company's game into another's is a clear copyright violation. If it comes to the attention of the Staff here that a someone has upload such a rip, (even just in images) it will be deleted and the account of the uploader will likely be banned. A (very) few companies, (e.g. GSC) allow their assets to be used outside their own games, but Bethesda does not. Bethesda does not even allow porting between the different games that they publish, (e.g. no FO3 -> FNV.) What a modder may do is create an entirely new mesh, texture, etc., based on something in one game, for use in another one. In fact, that kind of work is encouraged here and greatly appreciated by some. If anyone becomes aware that a mod hosted on the Nexus has violated the Terms of Service (link in the top-right of every page) by using unauthorized materials, please use the "Report" button to notify the Staff. We take all such reports seriously. LOCKDOWN!
