Adules
Hey everyone. So I have been looking through forums and discussing with different people and I have considered an issue that I and others have with Pillars of Eternity. Many of us do not like the way the fog of war is implemented in the game. Explored gray scale fog of war makes the game look washed out and overly dark and many of us would like the ability to customize the fog of war affect, especially in towns. I feel that the circle of vision around the characters is so small, that it makes the world less attractive and takes away from the art design. I saw someone post these suggestions for improving it:Option to enable the FoW for undiscovered areas only - once they've been explored, the fog is removed. (same with the map)Option to adjust the start radius of the fog - so it's not starting 4 metres around your party.Option to enable the fog for dungeons only, or at least disable it for towns/cities.Option toggle to enable, or disable the fog.I understand that there is a console command to disable FOG of war entirely, but that is not really what we are asking for. Firstly, it disables achievements and secondly, it disables ALL fog of war, rather than just removing the gray scale overlay across the explored portions of the map. Anyway, I hope someone who is enjoys modding shares my interest in this and might consider it. I am personally interested to the point where I am looking up information on how to perform simple mods, myself, however it is unlikely that I have the expertise to create this modification. Hopefully one of you might find it an interesting task.
AterValeo
I would totally support this Fog of War mod, but have no idea how to implement it!
