sullyvanj93
alright ladies and gents, I've been building a new system for a while now, and at last, the last piece (the OS) is in the mail on its way to yours truly. I splurged a bit on this one and ended up getting an i7 4790k, a Gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING MB, twin GeForce GTX 970s, 32gb of ripjaws ram, and a pretty nifty water cooling setup. I have also included a 120gb samsung SSD and a 1TB WD blue HDD as my dual hard drives. While I am wrapping things up here, I have a couple questions for you guys on optimal fallout playability :) I am, of course, planning on putting my OS on the samsung and virtually everything else on the WD guy. Now if I want to extend those extremely short boot up times to fallout, would I also install THAT to the SSD? (when I'm installing the game from steam?) Would this also help my load times in new areas? (such as when I open up the strip gate, the load screen to get the new area map loaded is super quick?) Furthermore, if I run a lot of mods, is this a good idea? I don't necessarily want to bog down my SSD with the hundreds of mods that I am spamming my fallout game with, but at the same time, if fallout and the mods are the ONLY things on the drive besides the OS, I doubt I'll see TOO much of a difference. Thoughts? What is the best way to set this up for prime fallout goodness? Please and thank you, Sully
