Suggestion about mod requirements

Hey there,

Just wanted to share an idea that I couldn't find so far on the forums and would be nice/convenient to have on the Nexus. The idea is when you download a mod that requires other mods to work properly a message is prompted to tell you about it...each and every time. Would be nice to have a button to click on to tell "I already have that mod, no need to remind me of it again".

Hope it could help in some ways,

Cheers !

But... isn't that already happening? Every time I download a file from some mod page where requirements are listed I'm getting the popup informing me about them, whether I already have them or not. The only thing I'm not yet seeing is this "don't bother me again!" button. Or is it just you're looking at mod pages which definitely do have requirements but the authors' of which simply haven't added them to the official requirements listings yet? Those of course won't say a thing.

Newer mods may have this already. - If and only if the mod author chooses to list any required mods or even any recommended mods. Older mods may not have it as it was not a part of the upload process when they were uploaded. Some mod authors may go back and add this to their older mods, but many are long gone.

This is not something that we can program into the process as we have no way of knowing if a mod requires something else unless the author tells us by putting it in themselves.

It's the "don't bother me again" button that they want.

Oh, indeed, you're right! Reading the OP a 4th time I got it, too, now. My bad.

Then make this a support vote for the "don't bother me again" button for the requirements popup of a mod page.

I know you can't really "reliably" take the user's download history instead to say they don't need the popup anymore as they have all requirements already installed, but a simple button or checkbox the choice of which is remembered, yeah, that should work.
