xJaegermeifter
Hey guys, im by NO means a computer guy. So dumb things down for me. But simply, im selling my current computer and having a friend build one for me, a gaming PC, he recommends these following parts for the basis of the computer, im not sure if i need to upgrade the graphics card to a better one or get more ram or something, so heres a list of what Mods i wil probably be using, tell me if these PARTS will be able to handle it, or if i need to upgrade to something larger (total this computer will be around $600USD). Mods- Frostfall.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11163/? SMIM.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8655/? Morskom Estate.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57141/? Real Shelter.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52612/? No Snow Under Roof.http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51188/? To make this smaller, Also Open Cities (Maybe), Close Face Mod (Zooms in when you talk), DSR, SkyUI, Realistic needs & Desires, and of course an ENB such as RealVision. Heres the parts. Not sure if all these are "needed" just going by what he sent me. Cooler Master HAE 912 High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case. Total this runs me up to around 580 bucks after shipping and taxes. So my limit is around 700, maybe 750. But i dont really wana "over spend". Im the kinda guy thats like, why would i buy a Lamborghini when i already have a Duramax and the Speed limit is already 70 anyway? So will these parts handle what im expecting to do to my skyrim? (Also i plan on playing games such as Fallout4, Witcher 3, League of Legends, Rust, Arma 3, id like to have them at least on High graphics without FPS dropping cause of my machin). Or do i need to get more RAM/Video card?
mfancy
I'm not 100% sure on the list since I'm like you, but I found myself a budget gaming PC that turned itself into what you seem to be looking for with a simple graphics card upgrade. It might be a good alternative if you're looking to budget even more. I got the CybertronPC Patriot hereThen I upgraded the graphics card with this one. I got it for $70 on ebay though the card on other sites is going for around $100. The only issue is to get it to fit, you need to take out the wifi card inside (easy pull out) and then plug the harddrive into a different sata plug. This one comes with two open sata ports, so its as easy as buying a $1 part and plugging it into the new spot. I had no idea what I was doing, but figured it out in 10 minutes. Cybertron also comes with free technical support (who are amazing by the way) who will actually talk you through over the phone how to install your upgrades. All together because I got the computer for $50 off, it was around $520. Runs like a dream for me. Really high graphics intensive games work great and other games that people with even great rigs have trouble with (Like ARK: Evolved) runs great even if I have to adjust the graphics settings a tiny bit. I'm currently running Skyrim on ultra with about 200 mods, many of them script and graphics heavy. Haven't noticed any lag or crashes.
Aurasoma
Watch MMO Champion. Every few months they put out recommendations for four builds that range from $500 to $2,000. They also link the parts on Amazon to make it easier for first time builders. Also they have a forum thread dedicated to building/maintaining gaming rigs like the Hardware and software discussion here.MMO just put out new builds the week so take a look at what they have to offer. mroldgamerx
Look, this is what I used to do for a living, or partly anyway. I was a small business consultant, and yes I build gaming rigs too. The pc I am currently using has a ASUS motherboard, a 4.3Ghz I5, 16GB of PC1600 DDR 3 memory, a small SDD for steam to run on, and 2 1TB hard disks. It also has a coolermaster 850watt PS and a DVD writer. For all of that new I paid less than 1200.00 The video card is the most important item in a gaming PC and I have a AMD R9 290 (Gigabyte that I only paid 140.00 for used). Even with my experience I could not find the evidence that the card was used. If you look carefully, talk to the sellers, and take your time you can get fantastic deals. Now if money is NO concern... well I'm disabled now and I can remember a time when money was not a big concern. If you are really serious send me and email. [email protected] and I will help you. You can assemble the rig yourself no problem, you only need follow a few simple steps and rules. The new equipment is almost fool - proof. My rig was designed to be cheap AND powerful. My framerates are very high, and I have never ever experienced lag in skyrim under any normai conditions. Plus it is B E A U T I F U L !! <mroldgamer> PS don't belive the 500.00 stories ... In truith no laptop I have seen will touch mine. I drive 3 40inch TV's with it. Goto TOM's hardware and read.
