mehrunis
summary is the daedra after mehrunes dagon being pushed back into the depths of oblivion, the daedra have been freed from his tyranical wrath. the daedra have been hiding in there refugee HQ (havent decided were or how to get there) and they are fed up with the imperial legion continously, killing on site of the daedra when they are wanting peace since the dissaperance of lthe prince of destruction and they want you to help them fight back...still in progress of making the whole story but getting there..in the end im going to have the daedra rule cyrodi (yes this means all the imperial legion related npc's will be dead so this will be after the main quest and players will be warned) and this quest line is aimed to be as long possibly longer than the main quest i would like suggestions (you can help if you want it doesnt matter if you do just pitch in a little not alot) im planning on new spells and sets of armor too!...im giving the player bonuses at the end of this like since there overruling you'll be the king and a 1 of a kind armor (just like the MQ reward but more unique) all 3d modeled...youll get a choice between armors but only 1 choice!...and some more junk suggestions welcome!!!...ideas...resources...or help thanks -mehrunis
Povuholo
That's.. Big. Wouldn't it be better to start with something smaller, or do you have experience already? Take a look at point 4,6, 7 and 8 of this thread. Are you sure you can do this all by yourself? Can you build good interiors, and know how to make quests and write scripts? You'll need that and much more if you want to make this mod.
Vagrant0
I would have to agree with Povuholo on this. In order to do everything you want, (some of which isn't possible), even if you knew the CS beter than Bethsoft and could do the impossible, it would still take you, or even a small team well over a year to do. Honestly, just trying to sidestep all the problems involved with replacing just the NPCs in the IC without breaking the game would take considderable skill and effort. Vagrant0
hehe...why does everyone always ask me?? yes i have had oblivion since launch and have been modding within the week of launch i have experience also i have cs wiki if anything goes wrong anyways any suggestions ?I would ignore trying to get the quest working (doesn't matter if you can't get all the main portions of the mod (additional areas, replacment of NPCs, fixing conflicts with sidequests and common mods) working properly) and focus on all the individual stages (starting from final working back) as a standalone triggerable state. This means rewritting several quests to allow for the regime change without breaking those quests, creating several dozen dialogues for daedra (hope you or someone you know can do the voice). And figure out a way of enabling the changes, while disabling the defaults... May also want to clear your schedual for the next year as that's about how long just this would take. As far as the wiki goes, most of the stuff you'd need to use lacks decent documentation, if any, and generally wouldn't be much help. I also hope you're capable of alot of creative scripting (using functions as they weren't intended to achieve a result which normally wouldn't be possible), as you'll need it. As things go, I wouldn't even try such a task even if I was being paid $1,000,000 to complete it, a total conversion where the daedra already control tamriel would be less work and would undoubtedly play better. Povuholo
Just because you have a million ideas doesn't mean you can actually put them to use. I'd read Vagrant0's post again.
