Ads on Nexus mods causing browser instability (Firefox)

With the ads disabled with Adblock I can browse nexus mods with no problems. But with the ads on it's causing major performance issues. Before I updated Firefox it would just crash my browser outright every time.

Currently running Firefox version 41.0.1 on Windows 10.

A couple years ago I was running into a similar issue. It wasn't actually bound to specific ads in particular but rather to those weird performance-demanding auto-playing Flash ads in general, some of which were actually able to drive a couple of my browsers to a complete halt. I shrugged it off as a problem coming from me being on a Macbook and the browsers not perfectly capable of being used on its OS performantly... but after a while I had to take similar measures to prevent this type of ads to kill off my browsers or system.

I'm not using AdBlock though, as I'm still in a business "developing" and testing these ads. However, a little related browser plugin called "FlashBlock" was working absolute wonders to me. It simply replaces the flash player plugin coming with these ads by a "play" button I need to press before the flash file plays, so I can still have them play when I want it, and when I don't they remain silent and completely without negatively affecting my system performance.

A nice side-effect beneficial to sites like this one, while I don't actually "see" the ad until I click the play button, on their side the ad impression trackers won't notice that. It's still exactly the same as if I was seeing the advertisement, the ad impression actively tracked in their providers' statistics, and the website embedding the ad to pay off the servers it's run on gets its payment for the impression of the ad on my PC.

Whereas when using AdBlock instead then they'll know it and there'll be no payment to the websites the ads are shown on either. I prefer my solution.
