quick question on horses

Well, for starters:

- Prior Maborel's Paint horse is the slowest and weakest horse in the entire game. I'd only use it at the start of the game only if you need something faster than just running. As I always play as characters with a good balance of speed, strength, agility, and endurance, I rarely ever need to use this horse.

- Normal paint horses (which can be purchased at Bruma and Leyawiin) are the most balanced, and have slightly higher endurance (health I mean) than the prior's horse. They also plod along at a steady pace, but I'd never use them anyway.

- The next best thing would be the chestnut horses (can be bought at Chorrol), and are a little more faster than paint horses. They seem to lack a bit of health, though.

- Bay horses are a step up from chestnut. They're slightly slower than chestnuts, but are tougher in terms of health (though not as tough as paint horses). They can be bought at Skingrad and Bravil.

- The white horses of Anvil are even better, and have the highest health of any other breed of horse. They are also more faster than chestnut horses.

- The best breed of horse are the black horses of Cheydinhal. While they lack the physical endurance of the whitte horses of Anvil, there are no faster horses in all Cyrodiil.

- A couple of unique horses exist too. One is the mythological Unicorn, and can be found in the Harcane Grove. It isn't alone, though, as there are 3 Minotaurs which guard the Grove. The Unicorn itself may also attack if provoked.

- The last and perhaps the best horse in the entire game, is the red-eyed Shadowmere. She is a gift to you from Lucien Lachance once you attain the rank of "Silencer" within the Dark Brotherhood. However, this is the only way to obtain this magnificent black beauty. She is an agressive horse, and if you are attacked, she will join in and attack whatever is attacking you. Another thing too is she can't be killed ;) .

It won't really matter what horse you choose, as all horses can carry the same weight (which is dependent upon your own encumbrance). I hope this helps you ;) .
