manually merging

i need to knoow how to manually merge 2 plugins (in my case, a race and a city basically) i have tried many ifferent programs, and none work. most of them cause to mny errors, and the race gets really screwed up. if anybody can direct me to somewhere where it teaches you this or something that would be fine.

You should probably first check for conflicts between the two mods using OBMM (search for it), then use TES4 Plugin Utility to merge the files by selecting which mod is has higher priority, and only moving over those parts you want transferred. Conflicted data in the mod with higher priority will overwrite those parts in the mod of lower priority. Doing this part incorrectly, can, and usually will cause problems. After merged, you should still open the mod in CS and manually fix any minor bugs that occur.

whenever i use tes4pluginutility, or any other one, it just shuts down my computer. thts why iwas asking how you can manually merge the 2 plugins

There isn't any other that works for merging, largly due to the fact that when two plugins are combined, the IDs of two seperate things may be the same. Without re-registering those IDs, the mod usually won't work right. Since there is already a tool that does this quite well, nobody has seen a need to re-invent the wheel. Try updating/reinstalling your java client. There's nothing wrong with the utility, it has to be your system, or your use of the utility.
