Anti Sundamage hoods

Well I don't know if there are any, I heard there was.. but I have never found it :(

Seriously, don't you think that it is kindoff unrealistic that Vamps lose hp even tough they wear hoods that covers the whole face ?

So I was wondering if anyone got a link, or if someone could make one ?

This should've been in the mod request topic but...

I like the idea, and it's not too hard to make. I'll do it now.

(To anyone reading this: Posting requests in new threads instead of in the mod request thread won't help you get answered faster. This one is just lucky that I like the idea)

Edit: I was expecting sun damage to be a separate spell, not part of a vampirism ability. That makes things much more difficult. So I'm sorry, but I can't really help in that case.

It would be possible to replace the Sun Damage component of the Vampirism spells with a Script Effect that checks whether or not the player has a given item equipped, as well as what level vampire they are, and based on this, adds or removes an appropriate Sun Damage ability. You could also set it up so that each level of vampirism has its own script effect. This would allow several simpler scripts to be used.

HOWEVER: This would conflict with any mod that affects the Vampirism spells. (However, mods that only affect the Vampirism Attributes or Skills spells would be unaffected)

What about if you duplicate the vampirism spell, change it not to have sundamage, put it on the hood, then when it is equipped, it takes away the usual vamparism spell and replaces it with the new one?

Would require tagging the script to all hoods, some of which already have scripts. In any event, it would still allow someone to wear nothing but the hood and not have the sun damage problem. It would be more practical to just remove (or change) the sundamage component. (which I think some mods already do). Real vampires aren't so photosensitive, yeah, pale skin burns easily, but that's a whole other matter.

In that case, to make it easier, how about assigning the first level of vapirism to the hood? It still has the sundamage attribute, but at a low level that doesn't actually do any pain, but you still can't fast travel and stuff, which would make it more realistic.
