Presuming you mean this one: Black Templars Armor, the mod *is* a ".dazip".

The true filename is: "Black_Templar_Arm v1_2-184.dazip"

Your browser is <cough> helpfully <cough> re-naming it during the download because it thinks it recognizes the file type.

Just name it back to the original one and install as you would any other ".dazip" file.

This thing happens with Chrome. Either rename the file as Thandal says (you will need the relevant rights, of course, so check your Control Panel first) or just use a different browser. Mozilla is free of this inconvenience.

so which one should i rename it?before i unzip or after?

or can you please give me how to do it?step by step or give me pic?thanks for the help

You DON'T "unzip" it. You just rename it then install it using the built-in DAUpdater.exe utility, (or your preferred mod manager.)

Did it work for you? In case you don't know where to find DA-Updater, it is in your Bin_Ship folder in the installment directory of the game. If you need more assistance, I can try to provide instructions in the way most fit for you, just tell me what you are most comfortable with (written or screenshots).

Hrmm I wonder why it does this on half the files in chrome, the other half download as .dazip's just fine? So why would it not rename all of them? also to clarify if it downloads and says filename.zip I just change that to filename.dazip correct?

No. No! NO! You cannot assume that a file is a ".dazip". That is only one type of mod file, and is a special collection of compressed files designed especially to be installed with the DAUpdater.exe utility that's built into the game.

Many, many mods are packaged as ".zip", (or ",7z", or ".rar") files and aren't ".dazip" files at all.

At the moment, FF is the only current browser that reliably leaves the file extension alone when downloading.

IE11, Edge, and Chrome all think they knew better. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f351/charonn0/ohgeez-1.gif
