The Trial of Vivec

Concilliator

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to post that the so called "trial of vivec" is one of the most idiotic things ive ever seen related too morrowind and goes against all the lore --- I just wanted to express my distaste for that particular idea about how things happened in relation to the end of vivec-- anyone who participated in it is an idiot and anyone who references it as lore is a double idiot

thanks

the trial of vivec is fan boy bs not the lore of morrowind

A couple questions:

Why do you post this here? You would do better to post it on the official fora.

What exactly goes against the lore? You need to provide specifics if you wish to engage in a debate!

How do you reconcile your approach with your username?

yes my approach is harsh because i am biased i like azura :O

anyway my point that it goes against the lore is that the Nerevarine was clearly meant to slay all the gods

the false gods that includes vivec you can even kill him if you want in the game though there is no reprecussion for it

the nerevarine was the redeemer of the false gods and so like he redeemed almamexia and would have redeemed sotha sil

he would have redeemed vivec, because as soon as the heart was destroyed vivec and the others lost all god power

and azura was the source of the nerevarines power

my point basically is that vivec would not have gotten the benefit of a trial or any fan fare, the nerevarine would have fulfilled the prophecy and slew him" he will cast down the false gods" all kinds of stuff like that in morrowind. :O

Apparently you haven't noticed that the Nerevarine does whatever you want him or her to do. If your Nerevarine is Vivec's biggest fan then Vivec gets to live. The whole appeal of Morrowind's story is that it's up to you to decide whether the prophecies are real and whether the Nereverine is really Nerevar reborn.

Also, many of the people behind the Trial of Vivec were devs, so if it's BS it isn't "fanboy" BS.

Edit: hmm, should have looked at the dates, I'm not normally into necromancy...
