Custom Races

Hi everyone, I just purchased Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal the other day and I want to make a custom race. However, I have no clue on how to use the construction set and was wondering if someone could tell me how to make a custom race, or just tell me where I can find a tutorial on how to do it. Also, where can I find tutorials on modifying existing armor and weapons in the game.

There's a scripting tutorial at the MWsource homepage, and look through the posts, there are links to some really good ones in here. I'll try to find them for you and post the links (or at least what thread they're in) here.

Another thing you can do is go to gamefaqs.com, look for Morrowind strategy guides, and some will show you how to create NPCs, races, exteriors, and interiors.

Thanks for the help everyone, I just finished creating my custom race, but when I start the game, it doesn't list my race, how can I fix this?

Did you install the plugin? If not than here how...

 

...First you get the beggining menu to come up (after you click the morrowind icon). Then click Data Files, and look for your plugin, then check it off and start!

Ok, I got the plugin in the game and everything works fine except that I cant see my characters body in the inventory menu and when he uses a weapon you can't see his hands. I modified the body parts of the Nords so they would work for my race like your supposed to. Did I forget something?
