sullyvanj93 Posted October 12, 2015 Share Posted October 12, 2015 I don't know if it's possible or not, but I was hoping to make it so bear traps would actually render you immobile until you pried it back open (taking a good 5-10 seconds at least). If an NPC walks through one, they might be stuck for 5-10 seconds, or simply until the courier releases them. I mean if the trap is hurting you, then it more than likely clamped down on your leg, so why are you able to just walk right through it? This would make these low-end traps much more fearful and useful to those deploying them, not to mention realistic. So in short, is it possible to make these bear traps not only take out a nice chunk of your health and cripple your leg, but also restrict movement until you select the option to dismantle the trap from your leg, taking a nice amount of time to do so? Would anyone be willing to add this nice little effect to them? Furthermore, I did see a mod that allowed the player to pick up and deploy bear traps similar to mines. I think this would work great in tangent with this mod, and ask that if anyone is willing to accept this task, they make it compatible so that these traps can be used strategically. If it just slows you down, that would be similar to the crippling effect they have now. in reality a bear trap would make you have a very bad day, and actually trap your leg so you couldn't move. unless you somehow pried it open or bit your own leg off. Shanaro Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 This shouldn't be to hard to accomplish, just add a script to the bear trap that freezes the players movement until he can look down and pry open the bear trap, also put a 100% chance for one of two limbs to be crippled. vTemporalZEROv Posted October 14, 2015 Share Posted October 14, 2015 No, I mean if you freeze their movements they can NEVER get out, if you add a slowing spell... as in like *0% speed (which is stagnant) then the player can't walk, but can move.
