I've recently begun my second playthrough of the game on death march, and have decided that this time I would rely much less on signs as i did the first time around, specifically the use of alternate Quen with its OP healing. And while this has been fine for most encounters, large groups of monsters become an endless series of sidesteps, rolls and the very rare attack when there's an opening. Normal quen doesn't help really, since you're rarely given a big enough window to apply it without something instantly taking it off. Basically it just isn't fun, the alternative however is a skill where nothing really provides a challenge since you can so easily heal yourself up again. So what I'm wondering is, is there a way to remove the healing component of alternate quen? I've looked at the quen specific mods and none of them seem to do this, and the rest seem to be overhauls which change all sorts of combat related things (which i don't want so i havent checked if they do this).
