Kenishi Posted March 28, 2007 Share Posted March 28, 2007 So, I have downloaded the Direct2Drive Oblivion(which has a different .exe) and it worked fine up to now, problem is that a different .exe requires different patches, and I just bought the retail Shivering Isles. Now I can't upgrade Oblivion to 1.2 so that I can play Shivering Isles, and I'm pretty much stuck. I did some research, and what I need is just the original .exe from the retail version, and I can forget all about the stupid D2D special patching. I was wondering if any kind soul could e-mail me or give me a link to the original Oblivion.exe 0.1.0.288(Oblivion 1.0). As long as you bought the game, using this kind of patch is legal. Watch out where you download this kind of thing from though. PM me and I will give you a link to "safe" site (no viruses and things, at least I didn't got any), where you can get this kind of patch. Might take a while for someone to come up with one though, since 1.2 is relatively new. I wouldn't post it here, as I wouldn't want to encourage the average torrent user who didn't pay for the game and is looking for a no-dvd patch. Kenishi Posted March 29, 2007 Author Share Posted March 29, 2007 I know my way through cracks, I already have access to 4 different types of 1.2 patches, and I've tried them all, problem is that even a no-DVD patch will be recognized as modified by the patcher, and this will terminate the patching at only 8%. So it seems that if I don't find a original .exe I won't be able to finish the patching. Tiberiu911 Posted March 29, 2007 Share Posted March 29, 2007 Are you sure about that? When I update (1.1), it updates everything and skips throught the "can't reconigse patch" thing. Long story short, it updates everything else, except oblivion.exe and oblivionlauncher.exe . They might of changed this with 1.2 though. :glare: . Maybe you can fool it by removing the exe from the folder? (copy & paste it into a temporally location, delete, try the thing). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
