Blue482
Hi All, OB has always pushed my mediecore computer to its limits. Recently I'm seeing choppy animations with fireplaces and hinged doors and gates. I'm thinking that something has suffered heat damage. Would what I'm seeing(choppy animations of fire and hinged doors) be a GPU or CPU issue? If its the CPU, could a bottleneck issue have developed? I'm still learning. My first move was to reformat and reinstall XP. That didnt help. My saves are small, no bloat. Drivers haven't changed. Turning down settings, including texture size to small doesn't correct the problem either. Thanks, Tom Lain-Li PC-60II PlusDell Demesion 4500MBP4, 2.8ghz @ 533EVGA 6800GT1.5ghz ram, PC

FerretMugger
I just think you worried a little too much there Tom, when something goes wrong with my oblivion it often tends to be a mod i've used. Anyways, it is unlikely, though not impossible, that a component within your computer could have suffered heat damage. In most cases, a computer is set to shut itself down if it exceeds a set temperature. And as for bottlenecks, they don't develop within your computer over time, they are either there or they aren't, it just depends on your specs, namely bus, memory and CPU speeds as well as memory capacity. Thats my view anyway :)
