Shivering Isles Main Quest Help

In fact, it does not seem to be an inventory conflict.

I encountered the same bug and removed, as suggested, all modded inventory from my own inventory.

 

Indeed, nothing has changed - the stone still won't do anything at all and that darn tree still doesn'T give up it's secrets...err...wood.

 

anyhoo, does anyone then have the spawn-codes for the wood and that doppelganger or at least the sword he carries?

 

any help would be appreciated.

okay, first of all, sorry for double-posting but this one's important - I finally got it to work.

 

this is how I did it: I opened the interior cell (XPMilchar3) in the CS (vers 1.2), switcxhed to the Script editor via Gameplay -> Edit Scripts, opened the Standing Stone Script (SE11bStandingStoneScript), recompiled it and simply saved the *.esp.

That makes the Quest work again.

try reentering the cell. the stone will shoot up a thing of green smoke, and then like dave said you will have to fight a familiar face. read the following word backwards if you want to know

After this, youll get an entry in your journal and you can take the branches

I still can't get it work at all.

I have started to do the main quest on shivering isles and most of it was smooth sailing untill I got to quest : Symbols of Office. I am at the second half where you are to collect the Tree branch, although it gives me a messae stating that the branchs will not budge.

 

I am lost here. I have found no walk throughs avalible, so I look back to the Oblivion community. Is there somthing that I must posses to make it work right? Or is there a command line that I could type in consol to make it skip through that quest.

 

This is for PC Version for Shivering Isles.

 

Any help would be appricated.

I HAVE ALSO TRIED 'MOVETOQT' BUT I END UP TRAPPED UNDER THE WATER. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ALL OF US WITH THIS PROBLEM. P.S. I AM ALSO A LIITLE BIT PEEVED BECAUSE I PAID 20 QUID FOR IT INSTEAD OF RIPPING A FREE ONE OFF THE NET.

read my post and fix it yourself. even a comple CS noob as myself got it to work.

 

no point in uploading the *.esp, may give me trouble with Bethesda I'm not willing to take.

Why? You can make and upload Shivering Isle mods, as long as you don't include the original 'Shivering Isles.esm' or any of the meshes/textures.

For those having what sounds like the same prob i had (damn tree) try 'movetoquesttarget' in the console. i did and then there was no problem for me.
