A black pattern appears over my screen during gameplay, with and without ENB.

I have the latest version of the game and all DLC.

I am also using the latest versions of skse, LOOT, Wryebash, TES5Edit and mod organiser.

After years of experimenting with modding I have finally managed to get it working smoothly, then after weeks of perfect gameplay this happens.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and many thanks in advance for any assistance provided.

Ive had that stupid grid show up in my games before, its exacerbated by a certain setting, which i cant for the life of me remember right now :/

Might have been AA or anisotropic filtering. Check youve got both turned off in Skyrims inis. Ill think on it in the meantime.

Edit - Oh lol a third 770 user to get hit by a graphical bug in 2 days. Hopefully this iant a gpu problem. Ive had the bug in New Vegas, i just cant remember which setting made it go away. It wasnt frim ENB either.

Thank you for your swift response.

I already had AA, anisotropic filtering and FXAA disabled as I have an ENB for that.

I also disabled ambient occlusion and set everything else back to default in nvidia control panel and the game's ini files but the grid still appears. I read somewhere that setting the shadow quality to medium will work, but that failed as well.

Well if you reverted the skyrim inis, hopefully you added back the required settings from enb? Ill assume you did.

I srill cant remember what it was in NV that did it to me, but it was more apparent on the grass then anywhere else although the grid was still faintly there all over, if you looked at the grass it was super exacerbated. Im sure it was from AF, but i just cant remember. I would test NV but i backed my install to my HDD and the circuit board blew on it recently.

Edit - just to note it, another guy starting having artifacts on his screen with a 770, sometimes he saw a similar grid of black dots. He managed to fix it himself, he said his ENB memory settings were wrong. Can you post your ENB local settings?

Thank you for the information and i'm sorry to hear about your HDD.

I did indeed add the enb settings and i'll check nvidia inspector as well as I believe I messed around with those settings too.

here are my ENB local settings as requested:

Okay there are a few problems here. For the Nvidia cards we dont need some of these experimental settings.

First, did you deliberately turn off SMAA cos enableproxylibrary is false.

Memory settings, set expandx64 to false and disabledrivermanager to false. Up reserved memoey to 384. Set video memory to 6144 (for that last setting, providing you havent got a tonne of things going on in the background this should be fine for you. This is 4gb for ENB and 2gb for your card)

AA, turn off temporalAA and Transparency AA - these *could* be the cause. Temporal AA actually does provide a nice enough AA but it is bugged unfortunately, you get double vision on the character from it amongst other things.

Thank you for all your help, I have been test playing with your recommended settings and the grid still appears, only this time very rarely.

When it does appear it's enough to restart the game and I won't see it for a long time, but for some reason reloading the save doesn't work.

At any rate, I am not as bothered by it any more since it rarely happens but if you have any more suggestions i'll be more than happy to try them.
