A Unique .45 Auto Sub-machine Gun

I have already made another post about this before, but like many others, it got buried in the growing list of mods and has had little interest from others. I wish I could make one myself, but I don't have any experience or knowledge to do so. Now, what did come of the last post was the idea that the most fitting idea would be for a unique .45 SMG to have been owned by Ullysses, because he was the one who introduced them to the White Legs. The name that sounded best was "Flag-Bearer's Storm Drum", because they referred to him as the Flag-Bearer, and the tribe referred to their signature weapon as the storm drum. Now, I think it should look unique as well, with a custom texture possibly, as one can do a lot with just textures. Whatever other ideas anyone can come up with are absolutely welcome.

I'll explain more I suppose. In my last post, I said how I was surprised that an iconic weapon such as the .45 Auto SMG didn't have it's own unique, when the .45 pistol did (A Light Shining In Darkness), so I proposed that I would really appreciate if someone with actual skills at using modding tools could make a unique .45 Auto SMG. The people who replied last time said that i wasn't specific enough even then, so we hashed up a lore friendly story for the gun, and a lore friendly name for it. You wouldn't have to make a new character or a whole new area, just put it somewhere that would make sense, or at the very least put it somewhere that it would be easy to find (finding a lore friendly place would take some work).

Also, I tried that after getting no interest, but there are no tutorials on how to use the newest versions of GIMP and GNU and whatnot. Especially not for making versions of DLC weapons. I got as far as making a bland, first-try texture and created a new item in the GECK. After that, I had no help and was unable to finish.
