Abramul
Unfortunately, when I looked at the release notes, I missed noticing this:The Construction Set now increments the version on plugins so that old Oblivion executables will not load a plugin saved with the new Construction Set. The Oblivion executable must be 1.2 or higher to match the new Construction Set executable. Simply install the latest Oblivion patch to get the latest executable.I've found an earlier version of the CS here, but before I try installing it and end up messing something up, I figured I'd ask here: Is it possible to have two different versions of the CS side-by-side? Would it simply be a matter of installing the old one, copying and renaming the .exe, and then installing the new one? Alternately, has someone put out a utility capable of converting a .esp to a 1.1 version?

Anyone can still use it regardless of the CS version. Since the new CS is available to the public, and most people wouldn't be tinkering around in your mod, there shouldn't be any reason to do so. However if you're working on a large mod project with others, you should probably all be using the same version. Beyond that, I believe the methods used to open up some of the official pliugins would work in this case too.
