TheDoodlerDude
Hello! I was just wondering if I can get help from someone who knows how to program? Basically I need a script that I can put on an item that will activate a terminal from anywhere similarly to the cheat terminal mod. I need this scripting just for future reference. Thanks in advance! :)
Purr4me
script is already available just as you requested, it's in Fallout tactics mod. Here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/8834/? Edited October 20, 2015 by Purr4me

To be more descriptive, I'm looking for a script that I can add to an item in the player's inventory. When I click on that item, it opens a menu or terminal screen. I could copy the script and whatever but I just want like a blank template. It would also help if you can tell me how it works step by step. It would also help if you can tell me how it works step by step. step by step ; would mean you would need to convert the mod, but, with the tools available, you can extract the data needed into a single esp file, build it up for NV....But you can not upload this, this has to be for personal use only, a way for you to learn...and an answer to the query posted. Discover how it works...this requires you use Fallout 3 basic game or GOTY version of the game to be installed. Best use 1 tool "Mod Organizer" as described in the description page for this game (.18) last numbers of version of that tool to use. this allows you more freedom to extract and control the data needed to test. once Isolated, you can remove all the rest of the assets simply by disabling that mod's packages and create your own. It would also help if you can tell me how it works step by step.ah... well, it's not me needing the item, this has to be you, I can't make things precisely the way you want them, they are already there....but for FO3. what you described "matches" exactly how that mod's data works and how it functions as in the "programming aspect" as requested. I can show you where, there are limits... but to show how ?...your running new Vegas..not Fo3, so to make a mod for NV, you need to do it. the answer is a source "material educational usage only" NV scripts work differently and yes, you will be making your own "blank slate" of the data. If you learn from this? then my time is not wasted. mod babe, do your best, break it down , take it apart and learn how it's done.I can not make it for you....well i could but then you would not learn anything...and I gather by the post you made, your wanting to learn how? that's how...just don't upload any one Else's data with out asking. always ask before diving in. tell ya what, I have all the games and am on a new test system here running pearl...an oddball OS in a VM, when I'm done here with my things, I'll download the items, break it all down and make screen shots...Hopefully in the exact order needed to do things...but It's an awful lot of work I need not do just for show and tell, If I have the time, I'll do that and post one link to a gallery for the shots. galleries name will be your avatars name sake..OK ?
