jmap2
So previously I had some problems with my skyrim which caused me to uninstall everything, but when I reinstalled it and restored my mods and tried to have my skyrim launcher detect hardware specs, it automatically crashes and makes bad ini's which blocks skyrim itself from launching. Any solution to this problem? Edited October 24, 2015 by jmap2
SMB92
Did you manually delete the inis? If they are set to read only it usually crashes the launcher, but you want them set to read only so they dont get reset if you hand customize them. Otherwise tried revalidate in Steam? jmap2
So I've tried re-validating skyrim but it didn't make a difference. I manually deleted the INI's and made sure that they weren't marked as read only (The new ones). I think it has something to do with me restoring my old mod list when I accidentally deleted skyrim when I found out I only had a mod conflict. SMB92
Id be looking in your data folder and removing any old stuff, at least temporarily. Its always hard to say what the cause is when im not in front of the computer :/.
