V1.2 Patch - Companion NPCs face textures/static head issue on fast tr

Everytime I fast-travel with my companions (I have two, Neeshka & Valerie, but problem is the same using Adoring Fan), their face textures fail to properly load. As in there is static face texture over/on top the moving eyes/lips. The head also doesn’t seem to be able to move up/down/sideways. It’s fixable by giving Neeshka a follow command which resets/reloads her (same with Valerie). However, this issue only seem to be effecting the (fast)travelling companions not any other NPCs who don't travel with the player. It may have something to do with a variable in the Oblivion.ini but for now the only changed variables from my previous .ini from V1.1 and this one are the 4/5 added variables in the V.1.2 .ini. (I have tried to let Oblivion generate a fresh .ini but to no avail).

Please understand that the face textures on the companions (Adoring Fan, Neeshka, Valerie) load just fine when I load a game. Its only when I fast travel or so does this issue of strange texture shimmering and static textures on face/static head issue appears. If I get a companion to reset (only possible with Neeshka and Valerie by looking at their inventories etc., but not possible with adoring fan) their face textures load up correctly. I feel its some facegen setting in the Oblivion.ini, just dont know which one and there are so many.

Please help.

I get the same issues and run 3 Neeshka companions (Neeska, Sasha and Katya) as well as Rhianna. I have made all of my companions into Mystic Elves and figure this has to do with mutiple instances of the Mystic Elf facial mesh/texture being used because of the two differnt companion mods using different IDs for each. I would run 10 copies of Neeshka and not have a problem but if I just run one copy of Neeshka and one Rhianna...face issues. And Rhianna does not reset when I check her inventory...frustrating.

I believe this is caused by the form ID bug that exists in every game. Installing the beta patch is supposed to fix it.

For what it's worth:

a.) Running vanilla with 1.2 patch, adding/removing horse armor causes/removes the problem.

b.) Adding everything (all the downloaded content, SI, OOO) EXCEPT horse armor, no problem. Add horse armor and she gets the "second skin" on fast travel again.

OBMM shows no conflicts.

Strange.

Finally found a post on this issue. I had this issue also start to occur after 1.2 patch on my Rhianna companion but now also seeing it on Neeshka. As well as the head appearing to have second skin if you change clothing/armor both sets will appear on the character at the same time and when left long enough the face gets patchy dark discoloration. Doesn't appear to be a form ID problem as have up to date game with all current patches (have all DLC and SI) and it has not fixed the problem. Tried removing the horse armor esp (via OBMM) in ref to tmorris's post but just removing it did not make a difference. Looking through the Rhianna thread there is quite a few people having this issue.

Ever click ctrl+D in editor on them? :P doubles the object, makes 2 twins do everything in the same space... could be one of your mods "dirty" or it could be that ID bug they are talking about ^.^

Try killing one of the evil twins somehow :P I recomend blood letting by giant leaches, too much choleric in her blood i tel's ya!

Well this takes the cake have completely reinstalled oblivion changed body mods (from BAB to Exnem) and updated OOO to 1.32RC2 and did not install horse armor. Went and picked Rhianna up again and tested fast travel and again getting the second skin. Tested with only having one companion mod running at at a time (Neeshka and Rhianna) using OBMM so mod was completely uninstalled and also saved and reloaded to ensure unloaded mods were invalidated and none of this has made a difference. Every time after fast travel get the second skin affect. I have used both of these companion mods together and separately prior to 1.2 patch and they worked fine so appears to be something in 1.2 patch. Hopefully someone will come up with a viable answer soon as this thread is getting old and this issue is really annoying.

Anyone ever found a fix for this Bug??

I haven't checked back for a while after posting this topic. It seems there had been some activity and many people are suffering from this issue. Has anyone found a fix, here or maybe on some other forum?!!

Please do share. I plan to pick up my campaign where i left it a few months back, but this bug is still very annoying and always in my face so to speak.

Thanks.
