Maze of Shadows
So I just installed Shivering Isles and when I fired up the game, the first thing I notice was the ground. Now, before I installed v.1.2 of Oblivion, the grass seemed to look like grass. Default textures, very nice, etc. Now however, the grass looks like a satelite map of the Imperial City with the colors skewed. Every other texture I've seen works fine. I am only using a few mods. None of which affect the landscape textures. My question is, as this seems to be caused by the patch. How can I fix it? The lovely new grass:http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y291/Maze38/Oblivion20.jpg
maceiver
I got the same thing when I applied the 1.2 patch last night. Thankfully I made a backup of the core .bsa and .esm files and reverted back to them. It not only affects the grass, but any close land texture (grass, snow, roads, etc.). I think it may have something to do with the shaders. The patch had errors on the shader packages when it tried to update. It found them, but said it could not update because they contained different information than what they should. I also reverted to the old .exe, since I had made a backup of it as well Edit: I found this thread with the same issue. Apparently 1.2 does not like modded shader packages. There is a workaround for this. Hope this helps you out.
