Warmskin
I've got so much garbage in my data file from installing mods (along with the occasional unsuccessful mod try) that I don't know what to get rid of to get a fresh start. For instance, some of the stuff that worked for Obiv now won't work with SI and I'd like to remove what I have and try to re-install some of the mods. Actually, sometimes I'd just like to get rid of everything and put all mods in fresh. So, my question is: What (if anything) is in the data file where all the mods go *before* I started mucking everything up? I don't want to remove anything crucial. Thanks a lot. What prompted most of this is my inability to install the Dark UI or Major Jim's UI (separate or compilation) and I have quite a mess now. Thanks again. You may however wish to hold onto your .ini settings (located in mydocuments) as well as any mods you have made. You may also wish to have the mods you want already downloaded, so that you can just install them, without hunting down that one mod you need, but can no longer find. You will however be unable to keep any of your saved games, so you may want to look for mods that make your progress a bit easier, unless you like doing the mages guild recomendation quests and beating up on summoned stuff for a few hours. Povuholo
All the BSA files: Sound, textures, meshes, misc, etc. Oblivion.esm and official plugins. The menus folder. But mods can change those so if you want to change those back you'll have to reinstall. The music folder. The video folder. A .txt file with the credits. Shaders folder (?) LSData folder (?) That should be about it.
