scintoth
i tried to do this but i have no clue on how to make him into a merchant or make a spell for him to be summoned. he would be an all in one service - repairing, recharging, a fence and all the others. it would also be quite funny if when you summoned him he said "what now?!". so anyone able to do this or am i gonna have to do a hell of a lot of training to mod oblivion correctly? offtopic: i made a daedric cow out of his face in the CS! Abramul
Is this a request for a mod, or a request for a walkthrough?

Abramul
I have a preliminary version ready, and just need to test it. This'll take 20-30 minutes. The actual release will consist of several .ESPs, from low Mercantile+lots of gold, to high Mercantile, and not much (500) gold. He won't be a trainer, and won't sell spells. Did you have a particular dialogue entry in mind for "What now?!"? If you give me the specific text of the subtitle, I should be able to find it. It's easy enough to make him say it...IF it exists. Unfortunately, I can't give him a spear.
scintoth
as far as i know there is already a piece of dialogue that says "what now?" (ive had a few npcs say it to me - im not liked). its good that he wont be a trainer because a) there are already trainers out there and b) i didnt intend for him to be a trainer (sorry for the vague details) because it would be like "oh i want to train some skills" *summons roger* "ah thats better and i didnt have to search for the trainer". and uh... spear? Abramul
Wikipedia on Roger:Roger is primarily a proper name of English, French and Catalan usage, derived from the German name Rüdiger which means "famous with the spear" from the Germanic elements hrod (fame) and ger (spear). The Latin form of the name is Rogerius, as used by a few medieval figures. I still need to get it so he'll buy stolen goods. I'm going to try setting his Responsibility to 0. Summoning works fine, and it appears that he'll buy any type of goods. I don't find much for "What now?", but I did find "What is it now?". Also, there's "Why do you bother me? Go away!", which seems nicely ironic for someone who's being summoned. EDIT: It appears it would be necessary to create a new topic or sound entry in order to play a specific sub-topic. Marcus Wolfe
Hey as long as we're talking about it, why not a genii in a lamp named Sawgin? He could be not only a merchant, but he could cast some insanely powerful spells. His lamp wouldn't be very easy to get your hands on though, you would have to find in in a secret arabian themed cave, Full of teasure, guarded by creatures from arabian mythology...but that's just what i think. 92% of teenagers have moved onto rap music. If your one of the 8% that hasn't, copy and paste this into your sig. I for one live for heavy metal

You could probably find an acceptably licensed lamp model somewhere or other, if there's not one already in-game. As for the second part of your post, please provide a reputable source.
