icecreamassassin
So I have this odd phenomena with my plugin where I go to clean all identical to master references and it finds 82 items and most of them are FROM my mod exclusively. They are all cell data which when in the CK, do not show with asterisks to indicate that they are edited in the plugin. These cells pretty much have no content in them and they are safe to delete, but any time I edit and resave the plugin, they reappear. Anyone know what the cause of this is or how to fix it? DrMonops
Shot in the dark... Is there any chance that you inadvertently copied these records into another file your're working with (Odyssey perhaps?) and now they're being injected back in whenever you're working with both in the CK (with Legacy as the Active file)? DrMonops
No, disregard that. I think the issue may be that those records are part of the cell grid map for a given worldspace, and even if TES5Edit seems to remove them, CK will add them back (or maybe they're never really gone). TES5Edit is flagging them as ITM because there's no LAND record associated with them; I have no idea if this is intended behavior or not for TES5Edit. However, if you open one of these cells in CK and make any minor landscape edit, it will generate a LAND record and TES5Edit will no longer flag it as ITM (tested). cdcooley
Yes, the CK loves to add extraneous records like that. ITM records aren't strictly a problem just unnecessary potential mod conflict points. I usually don't bother cleaning mods I'm working on until just before I'm ready to release them simply because I get tired of needing to remove the same CK added junk over and over again. Don't edit LAND records (or anything else) specifically make ITMs stop appearing, all you're doing in that case is manually creating what we call dirty edits (those that change something either unintentionally or for no real reason). DrMonops
I found a discussion of this specific issue: https://github.com/tes5edit/tes5edit/issues/
icecreamassassin
Hey thanks for the info, I usually clean the plugin but about every other update I forget to, but all that usually gets left in are these goofy errors. Glad to know it's not a concern.
