santeriaxx420 Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) Figured id slap this up here, i know im not the only one disappointed about survival mode. Not sure if it would require geck, but ill be anxiously awaiting some sort of realism mod. No idea why the new vegas style hardcore mode wasnt adopted in some sort of way. : ( .. Reguardless, Whomever winds up creating the mod is going to get a donation for sure from me! Edited November 7, 2015 by santeriaxx420
Vagrant0 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Is it that hard to just click the button to delete save data when you die?

I don't believe OP is referring to permadeath mod, but rather a survival needs system (hunger, thirst, sleep deprivation, etc.).

Plan your excursions, realistic weight and less bullet sponge enemies. Like what new vegas had. It wasnt perfect and modders made it better but it was a nice twist to the gameplay. TomSawyer Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Such a mod (or mods) will come. F3, FNV, Skyrim had it and F4 will have it too. But it will take its time. A Fallout game without something like Wanderers Edition or Project Nevada is not a Fallout game for me anymore. ^^ Edited November 8, 2015 by TomSawyer
elspath Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I really liked Realistic needs and desires from Skyrim. That in my opinion is "hard core" in these type of games. Would love to see that here
CamCo3D Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Loved hardcore in new vegas. Mostly I like bullet weight and stimpacks healing over time instead of instantly. Honestly I always used project Nevada menu to reduce my needs to eat/sleep/drink, that crap was too tedious. I didn't completely remove those needs, just reduced them by half.
avallanche Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 (edited) Not only Hardcore mod but something similar to Hardcore Stimpacks as well... I really like that mod and it makes the game way more harder and enjoyable. I'm really hoping that someone ( or the mod author) will recreate something similar to that. The combo Hardcore Stimpacks + Med-Tek Trauma Kit have become "must have" mods for my playthroughs. That's what hardcore mode should have been from the start. Edited November 8, 2015 by avallanche
LeonWolfe23 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I defiantly would like to see this mod as well, but if I may throw my thought in. Personally I loved the Hardcore mode, and the bettering mods for NV, but the one thing that truly kept me from playing the entire duration of my play through was my companions would die, now I could just load up a save, but if I survived I didn't want to have to erase the last hour of play just so I could revive my companion. While some may want that, I know a few who don't so if someone is to make it might I make a suggestion that companion deaths be optional for the players.
Uzibeatle Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 I think even with HC On 11/8/2015 at 3:52 PM, LeonWolfe23 said: I defiantly would like to see this mod as well, but if I may throw my thought in. I think even if one had gone that route you could use console command to set the companion in question to Essential. They would just be stunned a bit if taken out in a bad situation.
