LeonWolfe23
I think even with HC I think even if one had gone that route you could use console command to set the companion in question to Essential. They would just be stunned a bit if taken out in a bad situation. True, that is something that I never thought of. I rarely ever use console commands. JianXintou
There is already a "survival" difficulty with reduced healing and somesuch but I don't know entirely what it entails. We will probably have mods adjusting gameplay mechanics around the time F4SE released I'd reckon.I definitely welcome difficulty mods, I loved playing NV in a way where going down the wrong route with the wrong EQ or level meant death. I really disliked how easy vanilla NV got and how weak deathclaws were once you had good weapons or were lvl 20+.
santeriaxx420
I looked into it, and now that the game is out in some parts, there's some info. All survival does is make enemies drop rarer loot, and makes harder enemies appear more often. Healing is over time, but there is no Hunger, thirst, sleep. I feel like they threw it in to troll fans of hardcore mode lmfao "we'll talk about modes at a later date" never happens because there are no "modes" >.> Not like it's going to ruin the game, but I was spoiled with it last time, and it made my favorite game 2x as good. Makes me wish i knew how to mod.
JianXintou
As I said, I don't doubt we will get a mod implementing something along those lines. I mean, we've had mods that change those stats, mods that introduce new elements in Fallout and Skyrim. We'll just have to wait a bit I guess. Buddy of mine with the console version says that the game can be kicking your ass though, he plays it on easy and he got nuked out of nowhere by some dude with a fatman and so far he probably died at least 12 times while exploring. Poacher886
Decided im not even going to play this until a Hardcore mod is available....this WAS the game for me. We could also do with a potable sleeping mat and fire to cook. I used to spend at least 25min each night in some doorway watching the sun go down whist eating + drinking. Just cant believe NV had it because it was such a popular mod, and Beth didn't even bother with it....so disappointed.
igorrychter
As person who basically never died in F3/NV without blowing myself on purpose, and rarely ever got damaged, fact that game is easy and trying to cheat in difficulty by making easy ass s#*! really bullet spongy and just wasting your time while also making shooting mechanics unejoyable... I jsut belive it's rude. You put bullet in someone's head, he's dead, no matter raider boss guy, important main quest line npc, child, or asshole that game doesn't want you to kill. Or you. I have to say I know for a fact many people will also buy this game as modding platform, that's the purpose of bethesda games for them, I really wish for modding tools to be released soon. Beacuse really there is next to no point to play it till someone will make hardcore mode requring you to be smart about your actions, maybe removes healing entirely (that's what I want), rebalancing gunplay for good headpopin' time for snipers out there...Also I heard you basically start with power armor, man they loved that idea with your garage tank, aren't they?
