Morgwynn
So from what I've heard the Fallout: 4 game engine is just an upgraded version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim engine and in Skyrim there was mounted mechanics and even mounted combat with mods I believe but I'm not sure. So do you think mounted animal mods will eventually come out as an alternative to fast travel.? . . Would you want to see post apocalyptic mounted animals in Fallout: 4.? . . . Commonwealth Minutemen Cavalry Charge perhaps.
Morbide
There's no way of knowing what Skyrim mechanics are in the engine without the Creation Kit being released. When it does come out, there will be alternatives for fast travel for sure. But AFAIK there are no animals in the Fallout universe that would make good mounts. Unless you wanna ride a Brahmin I guess. There are mentions of horeses in the lore, but according to the storyteller series by Shoddycast they have become extinct. Then again, who knows, maybe someone with awesome skills can make a ridable version of Giddyup Buttercup.
