FO4 Mod Brainstorming

Ideas that come into mind.

 

1) Expand upon the settlement building textures and building objects. (i.e. pristine objects, high tech objects, alien objects, underwater objects etc. etc.)

 

2) Campaign mods based upon settlement building that could possibly span into on-cue cinematic flying ship battles as part of that. Possibly go into creating your own flying ship and customizing its weapons load out and features

such as transforming into a submarine for underwater exploration, turning into a spaceship for any lunar worldmap mods and so forth.

 

3) Predator armor variants for power armor customization.

 

That's about all I can think of off the bat without having any in-depth knowledge of what's actually in the game, until I can get the chance to play it through to get more ideas.

Not brainstorming more as speculating what we'll see:

 

1.) Paint schemes for power armors / Guns / other moddable armors

2.)Full sized building placements, in various states (ruined, sacked, perfect condition)

3.)Running vehicles

4.)Body modifications (tattoos?)

5.)LOTS of companion mods, tweaking behaviour, inventorys.

 

And.. so much much much more. Modding for this game is gonna be awesome.

I made a post earlier but I'll drop it in here too. There really needs to be something to help colorblind people when it comes to speech options. There's different types of colorblindness, so I can only speak for me and mine. I have a hard time with colors that are close to each other, sometimes they blend togather if they are to close. Examples include blues and purples, dark pink and red, dark brown and black, light green and yellow, dark green and light brown, and the big one (at least in this instance) yellow and light orange.

 

As of right now, I can't tell the difference between regular speech, easy speech and medium speech. I just click what I think is right for my character and hope for the best result.

Opening this topic I was hopping for early discussion of a user made version of the GECK since Bethesda once again announced a ridiculous hold on their modding engine - similar to the skyrim one that got started but not finished (think it was called Sky Forge?)

I get trying not to leave the console version out of the modding since it was announced that they will get some support for it - not that live or PSN will let any of the really good ones through - but if people get a game like this on console I feel they made that choice - no need to punish the rest of us

Yeah, that kinda bugs me to. Would love to have it so weapons have location slots, one per leg, one (or two) on the back, two on the belt. Favorited weapons will show up there. I like how the favoites have 4 sections, and I usally seem to group them as pistols, rifles, melee and grenade, so maybe the first in all each section shows up or something. Anything is better then right now, I'd even settle for just your current equiped like it's been in the other two games.
