I just want to ask the community how the game performance is with a 2gb GPU and what settings are you playing.

i have not purchased the game yet.

i want to play it with the mods to come day by day, eye candy and staff...

i have a GTX 760 and i am thinking of upgrading to a 970 if necessary....

i request from 2gb GPU owners to share their experience in order to decide if i have to upgrade first or if i can play the game in medium-high settings with the 760

If you have a decent CPU (at least an i3 or similar AMD) you will play that game at 1080p (medium settings) - or try the settings below.

Also keep in mind the GTX760 is much more powerful as the GTX 750Ti

Article from Eurogamer.net

But what about Fallout 4 on PC? Games based on Bethesda's Creation Engine have historically fared better on the PC platform, and our initial tests suggest that this trend continues with Fallout 4.

We've been playing the game on our budget gaming PC, pairing a Core i3 4130 with a GTX 750 Ti and 8GB of DDR3.

We used the game's high preset as a base, then dropped shadow quality and distance down to medium, with lighting pared back to high.

We have enough horsepower left over to put its object fade setting on par with actor fade (in excess of the high setting) and the end result is improved performance and marginally superior visuals, still at 1080p.

This is a great experience overall on cheap hardware, boding well for those with quad-core processors and better GPUs.

As an aside, we can say that even ultra level textures still fit comfortably within a 2GB framebuffer at 1080p. VRAM utilisation isn't a problem for Fallout 4.

I have only a slightly better GPU than yours, the 770, and I can play this game with ultra graphics settings. They didn't exactly overspend on new engine tech.

On the other hand, if you intend to do a lot of modding afterward, you could consider an upgrade. 2GB video ram isn't a lot these days.
